Filipino citizens moving to Thailand

The standard route to employment with a Thai company. A single-entry visa permits a stay of up to 90 days and can be extended at the Immigration Bureau for one year from the date of first entry. A work permit is granted separately, and repeated one-year extensions are the only route Thailand recognises toward permanent residence.

Five-year multiple-entry visa for remote workers, freelancers and foreign talent working for employers or clients outside Thailand, and for Thai soft-power activities such as Muay Thai, culinary training and medical treatment. Each entry permits a stay of 180 days. Spouses and children under 20 can be included.

BOI-administered long-stay visa for remote employees of established foreign companies. Grants a five-year stay extendable by another five, and exempts income earned overseas from Thai personal income tax. The employer must be listed on a stock exchange, or a private company with at least three years of operation and USD 50 million of combined revenue over the last three years.

BOI long-stay visa for specialists working in Thailand's targeted industries, and for academic professors across all fields. Includes a digital work permit and a flat 17 percent personal income tax rate. Grants a five-year stay extendable by another five.

Membership programme run by Thailand Privilege Card Co., a Tourism Authority of Thailand state enterprise. Membership buys a multiple-entry visa valid for five years, with no income, employment or age test. The entry Bronze tier costs 650,000 baht for five years; Gold, Platinum, Diamond and Reserve tiers run to 5,000,000 baht and 20 years of membership. The visa does not itself grant the right to work in Thailand.
