Build my workspaceYou qualify if you are 18 to 25 and an undergraduate or graduate of a recognised university in Australia, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Switzerland, the United Kingdom and the United States. The pass lasts 6 months, costs SGD 175 (about $137) when issued, and the programme is capped at 2,000 pass holders at a time.
Eligibility
The Ministry of Manpower sets three tests. You are 18 to 25 when you apply. You are an undergraduate or graduate of a university in one of the ten countries or regions above, recognised by that government. And you have studied there: undergraduates must have been a resident and full-time student of the university for at least 3 months before applying, and graduates must have been a resident and full-time student.

Cost, timing and the quota
- Pass fee: SGD 175 when the pass is issued, plus SGD 30 for a Multiple Journey Visa where applicable.
- Processing: within 4 weeks for most cases, per the apply page.
- Quota: 2,000 pass holders at any one time, per the key facts page.
- Documents: graduates send a degree certificate or transcripts. Undergraduates send a university letter dated within 3 months and a copy of their student card.
What the pass does not give you
It is not renewable, and there are no passes for family. If you have held it before, you wait 12 months before applying again. Staying longer means moving to another pass through an employer, and our Singapore remote work guide covers the options for people who keep their own job.
