Score 0-100. We look at the density of tech employers per capita, average tech salaries (normalized to local cost of living), the presence of FAANG / unicorn / public-tech offices, and the trajectory of tech hiring over the last 18 months. Sydney 85 reflects a real but smaller market than San Francisco's 95, which is the global benchmark. Cities below 60 typically have a real but thin tech market where remote-from-elsewhere is more common than local-first hiring.
